The Little Miami Conservancy (LMC) has been working to protect and restore the Little Miami State & National Scenic River since 1967. Through partnerships and conservation strategies including habitat preservation and restoration, education, and research, LMC, along with its supporters and partners have helped bring back life to the Little Miami River. Jason Brownknight, LMC Executive Director, will discuss ongoing projects such as the bald eagle cam, fish eDNA testing, mussel silo deployment, and working with students and volunteers to further conservation efforts along the Little Miami State & National Scenic River.
Jason Brownknight has an extensive background – both as a hands-on ecologist and conservationist and as an organizational leader. He has worked locally for the Clermont Soil & Water Conservation District, the Cincinnati Nature Center, and then established Brownknight EcoResource LLC, a company devoted to land and water conservation. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Little Miami Conservancy.
