47th Annual Hefner Lecture: The Arbornaut

The Hefner Museum invites you to join us for an all-ages evening with "CanopyMeg" Lowman—famous tree climber, scientist, and author of The Arbornaut - A Life Exploring the 8th Continent in the Trees Above Us.

Dr. Lowman is a global pioneer in forest canopy ecology.  Her mission is to explore, research, and conserve global forests, mentor the next generation—especially women and minorities—in sustainability and forest stewardship, and educate diverse audiences through storytelling. Reception and book signing follow at the Hefner Museum, 100 Upham Hall. 


In addition to her public presentation, Dr. Lowman will discuss some of her study results in "Mission Green - How Forest Canopies Can Inspire Global Forest Conservation" at 4:15pm on November 3 in Pearson 218.
